Education Worldwide: Taipei, Taiwan Satellite Location (EMBA, DBA-OS & MPM)

Instructional Methodology

The EMBA, DBA-OS and MPM are taught entirely in English.

Courses may consist primarily of lecture presentations by faculty members or they may emphasize discussion and exchange of ideas among faculty and students. Seminars involve smaller groups of students than lecture courses, and students may be required to make presentations as well as participate in discussions. Class participation, research papers, and examinations are all important.

The MPM curriculum utilizes case studies, teaming exercises, hands-on applications, active participation, research, and integrative exercises in a blended lockstep format. Class sessions require the application of critical thinking to problem solving and decision-making within notional and actual situations.

Thorough preparation is the key to successfully completing the selected program of study. Participants are expected to make a significant learning effort over the course of the program and should expect to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week outside class for study, class projects, reading, and preparation.

Students are strongly encouraged to purchase a personal laptop computer equipped with a LAN card, and the latest version of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
