INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGY

Applicant Profile
Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
EMBA participants will possess an undergraduate degree, have completed at least seven (5) years’ work experience, and hold – or demonstrate the potential to attain – executive positions in substantial corporate enterprises, government bodies, and non-profit organizations.
It is expected that EMBA participants will continue to fill their positions during the program.
IUM assumes that EMBA participants are dedicated lifelong learners, possess the maturity to identify their own needs and goals, and display the discipline to adhere to a regimen of intensive learning. The EMBA is taught entirely in English.
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA-OS)
The DBA-OS is targeted at experienced individuals who have excelled in business or can demonstrate strong academic achievement and the potential to perform advanced research. The program is intended to provide graduates with the skills, knowledge, and ability to succeed as academic researchers and teachers, research-oriented practitioners, and high-level consultants.
Applicants to the DBA-OS are expected to hold a Masters degree, preferably an MBA or equivalent, and will need to demonstrate excellent results in their previous studies. The DBA-OS is taught entirely in English.
The DBA-OS assumes students are capable of undertaking research at a high level and that their field of specific inquiry will be clearly identified before they move to on to full doctoral candidacy.
Master’s in Project Management (MPM)
MPM applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or hold a 3-year or 5-year college diploma with 5-10 years work experience.
It is expected that MPM participants will continue to pursue their professional careers during the program.
IUM assumes that MPM participants are dedicated lifelong learners, possess the maturity to identify their own needs and goals, and display the discipline to adhere to a regimen of intensive learning. This presupposes a willingness to accept blended learning that combines theory with genuine business issues in real time. This is especially important since the MPM depends heavily for its success on participants developing group chemistry and out-of-class support networks that are critical during intensive study periods.
