Course Description
PMAN 610: Project Management in the Global Setting
Note: All courses carry three (3) credits unless otherwise stated.
The course introduces participants to current issues in global project management, focusing on the specific requirements necessary to succeed in the global environment.
Topics include outsourcing and virtual project management; global project management practices that address national boundaries, geographic distances, and cultural diversity; and international negotiations.
Participants will gain an understanding of how quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control are employed in the global setting. They will be exposed to the similarities between this specialized form of project management and its more general counterpart, while also appreciating the different success parameters by which global project management is measured.
